Shorebirds Old Eskimo Curlew Shorebird Decoy
Unknown maker, New Jersey or North Carolina, circa 1890
Nice old Eskimo curlew shorebird decoy maker unknown. This species of shorebird was historically hunted in North Carolina and New Jersey where this bird was found. Paint is very worn with underlying wood in an old patination. The shorebird decoy has a slight flat bevel on the sides widening upward towards the back. Length= 12 ½”.
